So it seems

So it seems I've been away for some time now. That 3.5 month old daughter is now almost 11 months old. She is almost walking, saying the basics like dadda, momma and detz-ida (Dexter our dog). Pretty smart kid. I sometimes ponder whether or not she is advanced...you know...smarter then the other kids her age. I think this is just a natural thing as a parent, but she really is smart. Its an incredible thing to watch. The evolution of a human being. As she grows she starts taking on the simplest of things that us humans take for granted....Music comes on, she dances. Music that really suits her fancy, she starts nodding her head while she dances....How can this be? We don't dance in front of her. I sure as hell don't because it takes a lot of alcohol to fuel this guy's desire to shake it! And I don't regularly get drunk with my 10 month old. Dancing, is just one thing.....this little lady waves at everything. People, lights, windows, walls....that may seem dumb, but rest assured there is a process of elimination going on in that little brain and before you know it she'll know that we don't wave at walls....well maybe some of us do, but not most. It truly is one of the most incredible experiences knowing that your little girl/boy is growing up. Its sad on some levels, but on others its an amazing thing knowing that you have a part in shaping this little being's future. You just hope you can shelter her from the mistakes that you've made, and make her a better person.
